Our Forestry Division cares for over 12,000 street trees, and thousands more on our park properties. They prune trees to maintain healthy structure, remove trees that are dying or diseased, and plant new trees for future generations to enjoy.
If you have a concern about a tree in the street right of way (between the street and the sidewalk) or in a City park or City owned property, please contact us at 262-335-5080 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All street trees are periodically pruned by City certified arborists at no cost to homeowners.
If a tree is marked with an orange dot, the tree is scheduled for removal. If a tree is marked with a green dot, the tree has been noted by the Forestry Department as having been infected with the Emerald Ash Borer, and is scheduled to be removed. This service is also provided at no cost to homeowners. If you have a tree that has been removed or is marked for removal, you may request a replacement tree to be planted. Silent Auction, Sale of Tree Logs
The City of West Bend conducts a silent auction for the sale of trees logs. These are logs from trees which have been removed from our City parks or streets.
If you would like to be on a contact list for information on the next wood auction, please call our Parks, Recreation and Forestry Dept at 262-335-5080, or email your contact information to email@example.com.
The most recent Auction was held in June, 2016. The next sale may be expected fall of 2017.
