Redevelopment Authority


PURPOSE:  The purpose of the Redevelopment Authority Board is to eliminate blight conditions that inhibit neighborhood reinvestment, to foster and promote business expansion and job creation, and to facilitate new business and housing development.   

POWERS AND DUTIES:  The Redevelopment Authority Board shall have the powers and duties prescribed in Municipal Code 1.53 and in Section 66.1333 of the Wisconsin Statutes.

STRUCTURE: The Redevelopment Authority Board shall consist of seven (7) members. 

TERMS:  The members of the Redevelopment Authority shall be appointed by the mayor, subject to confirmation by the Common Council at the organizational meeting, for staggered five (5) year terms.
