Value Task Force Findings

I'm very pleased to provide to the citizens of West Bend a full two years of comprehensive and in depth reviews of city operations by the Value Task Force.  The Value Task Force was appointed by the West Bend Common Council and completed its work during the second quarter of 2013 having presented its final report to the common council on June 17, 2013.

The findings are impressive.   Even more so is the hundreds of hours put into this effort by the volunteers and leaders of our community.  I thank each of them, the city's workforce and management team that contributed and cooperated with the review over the past 24 months.

Many efficiency improvements have been made as the result of this group's work including the shifting of priorities in the fiscal year 2014 budget to be unveiled later this year; a relocation of Tax Incremental Finance district management move to the department of development; seamless consolidation of city operations in taxi and development  services; and the potential privatization of some engineering services.

I look forward to continued  work to increase the value of services, and costs associated with those services, to the residents and businesses in West Bend.
