2018 West Bend GERMANfest from it’s humble beginnings in 1986 as a four hour program, on a single stage in a downtown West Bend street, GERMANfest has grown into a four-day event, with multiple musical acts and much more. West Bend GERMANfest can host up to 10,000 attendees through-out the weekend, many patrons travel from all over the country to hear the wonderful line-up of music and enjoy the comradery of the West Bend community. This event recently has transformed into a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of Washington and Dodge Counties.
GERMANfest will continue with long-standing traditions like the Friday night Fish Fry, polka dancing, and a sheepshead tournament. New activities include a Kinderzone, that offers games and crafts for children and families, yoga and beer hosted by Blue Luna Yoga, a Stein holding contest, raffles and more! There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy at West Bend GERMANfest!
Musical acts for 2018 include, Chasin’ Mason & The Cheap Shots Thursday Night. The Cedar Singers, Carol & The Keynotes, Barefoot Becky, Julie Lee, and Good Time Dutchman on Friday. Pommersche Tanzdeel, The Music Connection, Box on, and Gary’s Ridgeland Dutchman will be playing on Saturday. The famous River City Blaskapelle, Box On, and Steve Meisner will perform on Sunday.
