18th Avenue Reconstruction Public Information Meeting
|Date:||April 16, 2018|
The Wisconsin DOT and the City of West Bend have scheduled a public information meeting to discuss the upcoming reconstruction project to take place on 18th Avenue from Vogt Drive to Decorah Road. This project’s intent is to reconstruct 18th Avenue from Vogt Drive to Decorah Road, as well as the intersections of 18th Avenue with Decorah Road and with Vogt Drive; including new pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm sewer and improved sight distance.
The meeting will be held in an open house format on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 1115 S. Main Street. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. and will conclude at 7 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to inform area residents, property owners, local businesses, and the general public of the proposed staging of construction activities and traffic.
Work is anticipated to start the week of April 23, 2018. 18th Avenue will be closed between Decorah Road and Vogt Drive during the entire life of the project, with some periods of closure of the Decorah Road and Vogt Drive intersections as mandated by the work schedule.
Motorists are reminded to abide by all traffic control signs and devices as well as be aware of ongoing construction activities. Alternate routes should be planned to avoid construction whenever possible.
The project team thanks you for your patience and cooperation throughout this project!
