    Veterans Avenue from East Washington Street/STH 33 to Water Street is now open to traffic. Construction will continue in spring on the East Side Downtown Riverwalk, therefore the sidewalk and pedestrian area on the west side of Veterans Avenue will remain closed to pedestrian and bike traffic. Please note that the north pedestrian bridge over the Milwaukee River is available to access the Museum of Wisconsin Art and the south pedestrian bridge will also be open through the winter.     END OF LEAF COLLECTION DECEMBER 2, 2018 The Public Works Department would like to inform City of West Bend residents that Sunday, December 2, 2018, will be the FINAL day for residents to place leaves curbside. Crews will begin the final sweep of the city during the week of December 3 through December 7. Crews will not go back to areas that have already been cleared during the final week of pickup.
