Career Description

The City of West Bend is accepting applications for a Social Media Specialist, approximately 20 hrs/wk.  This position works under the direct supervision of Community TV.  Duties include an assessment and recommendation of social media platforms, administering of all social media, establishing and maintaining a social media calendar, tracking media coverage or PR metrics (e.g. web analytics), creating ways to streamline communication and plan execution, and general administrative and clerical duties. High School diploma or GED required. Experience with social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Hootsuite.  Have basic understanding of keyword strategies in headlines and content, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, knowledge of ad placement and advertising, creativity in planning and execution of social media platforms.  Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and be able to pass a background check and drug screening. This position is eligible for prorated benefits including vacation and holiday.  Starting wage is $15.00/hr. Applications will be accepted until the needs of the department are met.
