  • The City of West Bend is taking applications for an exempt level Producer within the Community TV department.  This full-time position is responsible for helping to shape and grow the City’s brand identity across key channels along with live streaming events.  Duties include:  directing and producing studio and remote video productions with primary responsibility for high school and college sports coverage; responsible for all aspects of assigned projects, includes pre-planning, writing, producing, directing, editing, and supervising staff and student workers as available; advise and assist Public Access Producers with program conceptualization; operate cameras, audio equipment, lighting instruments, and various other audio, video, and computer equipment alone or as a member of a production crew; perform non-linear editing, CD and DVD production, digital encoding, mastering and duplication; operate and schedule automated playback system (Leightronix / Ultranexus); advise and assist City staff with producing and scripting media programs; and work with local business on advertising with promotional videos.

    A Bachelor’s Degree in Video Production, 3 – 4 years of video production experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.  Experience with computers (Mac & PC) required.  Non-linear editing preferred.  Ability to work with the general public, great attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines, are a must.  Hours are Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with flexibility as there will be some Saturdays for game coverage.  Valid Wisconsin’s driver’s license required.  The starting salary range is $45,760 – $49,920 per hour (DOQ), with benefits.

  • The City of West Bend, WI (population of 31,000+) is accepting applications for a full-time Park & Forestry Maintenance position in our Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department. This is a skilled position that will be responsible for a variety of property maintenance and forestry duties, including the development and maintenance of parks, public properties, recreational amenities, trail systems, buildings, road right-of-ways and the urban forest, with an emphasis on lawn mowing and snow removal. 

    Ability to work independently and effectively with other employees and the general public is a must.  Two years of experience in grounds maintenance and/or forestry operations; High School diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, Forestry or related field preferred, Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and Commercial driver’s license (class B).  Starting wage range is $19.00 - $20.00, DOQ.
