Regner Community Park is a mecca for outdoor recreation.  The natural landscape is interwoven with activity.  Playgrounds, nature trails, open play area, swimming, tennis, soccer, softball, and baseball serve the many recreational interests within the community.

 

The Carl M. Kuss Memorial baseball field, grandstand, and concession facility is home to adult leagues and tournaments.  Spectators are given the opportunity to spend an evening in the park, while enjoying the all-American game.

 

In summer, the beach, pond, and bathhouse bustle with activity.  In winter, the area is transformed into a winter wonderland with ice-skating, hockey, and warming house.

 

Among woodlands, ponds, open grasslands, and scenic Silver Creek are the Camp Lodge, Centennial Shelter, and Pavilion, Concessions, Bandstand area, as well as numerous picnic groves.  As rental facilities they cater to special events, family gatherings, and other group activities.  Park entrances are located on North Main Street and Park Avenue.

Camp Lodge 

 

 

Large enclosed shelter that accommodates 64 people seated, 110 people standing.  Includes kitchen area with stove, refrigerator, sink with cold water only, restroom, natural fireplace, large grassy knoll, 15 picnic tables and parking lot adjacent to shelter.  Available April 15 to October 31.

 

Centennial Shelter

 

Large open shelter that accommodates 150 people standing or 120 seated.  Includes 15 picnic tables, electricity and restrooms nearby.  Close to beach, ball fields, tennis and horseshoe courts.  Available April 15 to October 31.

 

Pavilion, Concessions and Bandstand 

 

Stand area that accommodates large gatherings and available to rent seperately or as a group.  Close to beach splash pad, and playground, with restrooms nearby.  Available April 15 to October 31.

 

Pavilion 

 

Large open shelter that accommodates 220 people.  Includes 30 picnic tables and electrical outlets.

  

Rotary and Kiwanis Concession Stands

 

Two concession stands, attached to the Pavilion, are available for rent along with the pavilion.  Each concession stand has 14 electrical outlets, a sink, countertop area encircling the entire stand and refrigerator/freezer.  Renters may reserve one or both stands.

 

Strachota Bandstand

 

This two-tiered Gazebo accomodates approximately 100 people.  Includes 18 picnic tables and electrical outlets.

 

Picnic Groves

 

There are six picnic groves set strategically within the park.  Each grove contains 10 picnic tables and one permanent cooking grill.  Close to playground equipment, baseball diamond, softball fields, basketball court, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, horseshoe courts, nature walking trails, open play area and Regner Park Swimming Pond.
