The City of West Bend has a pro-development culture. Our goal is to support and cultivate projects that serve as a win-win for the community and investors. Our administration, development, inspections and engineering teams work collaboratively with developers to streamline projects to get deals done.

West Bend is 30 minutes north of Milwaukee in Washington County—situated along the Milwaukee River in the heart of the Kettle Moraine. More than 32,000 people reside in the city and have access to numerous cultural and historical attractions, 1,200 acres of award-winning parks, quality healthcare, and exceptional educational opportunities. West Bend has a charming historic downtown with thriving businesses, shops, and restaurants, and several business and industrial parks poised for growth.

West Bend’s location on the Milwaukee River, varied industry, and proximity to major Wisconsin roadways contribute to its economic success. Several major corporations are headquartered in West Bend, including West Bend Mutual Insurance Company, Manitou Americas, Delta Defense, and Serigraph, Inc.

Workforce Development
Attracting and retaining employees is made easier in West Bend with the help of UW–Milwaukee at Washington County and Moraine Park Technical College. Continuing education and workforce development programs are customizable for employers within the city. Programs include manufacturing, engineering, mechanical design, electricity, metal fabrication and more.
