PURPOSE: It shall be the duty of the Board of Public Works, under the direction of the Common Council, to superintend all public works and keep the streets, alleys, sewers, and public works and places in repair, and to exercise such powers and duties as provided by law or ordinance.
POWERS AND DUTIES: The Board of Public Works shall have the powers and duties prescribed in Municipal Code 1.47 and §62.15, Wis. Stats.
CURRENT STRUCTURE: The Board of Public Works shall be composed of eight (8) alderpersons. The city clerk shall serve as secretary.
CHAIRMAN: The mayor shall designate one (1) member as chairperson, subject to approval by the Common Council.
