Jim Becker founded EPIC Creative as a video production company in 1989 in a Port Washington garage. Shortly after the company’s founding, EPIC moved to the West Bend Industrial Park South on Progress Drive. Over the next three decades, EPIC grew to be a full-service marketing and advertising agency, offering web development, graphic design, public relations, social media, branding, and other services in addition to photography and video production.
In 2017, EPIC Creative moved its headquarters into the former Museum of Wisconsin Art building on 6th Avenue in downtown West Bend, strengthening ties with the community and pursuing more opportunities to give back. The agency retained its photography and video studio on Progress Drive.
“EPIC is a major employer in our thriving downtown. By bringing their employees downtown, they are provided daily opportunities to dine, recreate and shop,” said Christophe Jenkins, mayor of West Bend. “We are also thankful for their many generous contributions to our community including their efforts with the Riverwalk, The Hub, Boys and Girls Club, The Tower Heritage Center, The Bend, and Enchantment in the Park.”
For local initiatives like the Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial and The Hub coffee shop, EPIC donated time and resources to develop branding and provide website development, graphic design and media relations, among other tactics. “West Bend is a huge part of our story at EPIC, and we’re proud to receive this honor,” said Joseph Rogge, chief creative officer at EPIC Creative.
“This speaks to not only the talent of our scrappy, honest and kind employees, but also their commitment to making a difference in the community. We thank the City of West Bend for their continued support, and for this special recognition.”
