West Bend to Reconstruct Carl M. Kuss Memorial Field

West Bend, Wis. (March 5, 2021): The City of West Bend and West Bend Baseball Association (WBBA) is set to upgrade the Carl M. Kuss Memorial Field at Regner Park. The project consists of a new artificial turf infield, grandstand, fencing, and dugouts. Demolition and reconstruction activities will begin on Monday, March 8.

“Today is the realization of years of hard work to bring back Carl Kuss Field to its former glory and to give the next generations of boys and girls a safe, inclusive, state-of-the-art facility to live out their dreams,” said Craig Larsen, WBBA Secretary. “This project ensures that West Bend will remain one of the go-to destinations for baseball and softball development in southeast Wisconsin.”

The Kuss Field reconstruction project is the result of a collaborative partnership between the West Bend School District, West Bend Baseball Association and the City of West Bend. It is anticipated that the new field and stadium will be ready for the 2022 baseball and softball seasons.

“The City of West Bend is really excited to see our historic baseball field reconstructed,” said Jay Shambeau, City Administrator. “Thanks to the extreme generosity and dedication of our businesses, foundations and individuals for bringing this project to fruition."
